Local Warden Course

Course Description

This course runs over a period of two weeks carried out during the day. At the end of the course all participants will be required to sit for a written examination. All successful candidates will be given a recognized Certificate, which is one of the legal requirements to obtain a Local Warden licence from the Commissioner of Police. Field Training will then be given to those successful candidates, which normally covers a period of three weeks.

Who should apply?

Any person who wishes to be employed in the Law Enforcement sector needs to attend this course as this is a prerequisite to apply for the respective Licence through the Commissioner of Police.

Content
This is an intensive course covering both the theoretical and practical aspects of the job of a Local Warden. The theoretical part covers local legislation, procedures and duties and the practical part includes hands-on training in the field, including use of the hand-held computer and attendance at Local Tribunals
Fee
Structure
A deposit of €50 is payable on submitting the Application Form, while the balance is paid on commencement of the Course.
